Welcome to my auction of a Lovely Original Watercolour Painting By CONSTANCE L. LEE (ex 1900-39).

The George Inn is understood to be the oldest building in Chertsey, built in 1613 and remained as a pub until it closed in 2014. It has now been converted to offices.

It is beautifully mounted and framed.

There is a work by Constance in the V&A included in the Pilgrim Trust’s “Recording Britain” Collection.


​​It is in very good condition overall.

It is signed and inscribed to the reverse.

The frame measures 14 1/4 inches or 360mm wide by 12 1/2 inches or 320mm tall.

The picture measures 7 inches or 180mm wide by 5 1/4 inches or 140mm tall.
